Abstract

On May 5, 2023, three individuals of the Asian Openbill (Anastomus oscitans) were observed in flight near the Ahmad Yani Airport area, Semarang, Central Java. Since then, a total of nine sightings of this species has been documented. These findings provide information of range expansion for the Asian Openbill, which was previously only known in Indonesia from Sumatra as a visitor. ©
