The role of school counselors in upholding their professional accountability has become increasingly crucial in the digital age. Demonstrating this accountability is essential in assuring stakeholders that guidance and counseling services have a positive impact on student success. This article delves into the strategies employed by school counselors to showcase their accountability practices to stakeholders and advocates for the adoption of web-based outcome evaluations to foster counselor accountability in the digital era. The research methodology encompasses a quantitative descriptive approach to explore the accountability strategies implemented by school counselors in Indonesia, coupled with a literature review on web utilization in outcome evaluations. An online survey was conducted with the participation of 232 school counselors. Findings revealed that 38.9% of school counselors in Indonesia are still unaware of the appropriate strategies to convey their accountability practices. However, other results indicated that the counselors’ accountability strategies include presenting portfolios to school principals and orally showcasing their portfolios to stakeholders, such as school heads, teachers, staff, and guardians. This article further discusses how web-based outcome evaluations can serve as a powerful predictive tool to enhance school counselors’ accountability, implying significant ramifications for future school counseling practices. These findings are pivotal for school counselors to communicate not only best practices, but also evidence-based approaches that offer data-driven insights to stakeholders about the effectiveness and outcomes of school guidance and counseling programs in the digital age.
