The periodic bridge maintenance is very prominent to be done to ascertain the actual condition of the structure. With the result that it can be ensured that the bridge structure can provide comfortable and safe services. Another objective that can be obtained is that the bridge structure can reach the service life as planned. To discover the condition of the bridge can be done visually or by using certain sensors which are now widely used. This study will discuss the identification of modal frequency at single-span pre-stressed concrete girder bridges using the peak picking method. Modal frequency as part of the dynamic properties of a structure will be used to find out the current and future condition of the structure. The first step is to collect vibration data using a velocity meter. The next stage is to analyze field data using the peak picking method to obtain frequency capital. From the field data analysis, it was found that the vibration frequency is 3.163 Hz as the fundamental frequency of the Kalipancur bridge structure, Semarang. Frequency data equipped with updated finite element model can be used to monitor the condition of the bridge structure in the future. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
