The aim of this research is to preliminary develop a Simulation on Refutational-Text (SoRT) in changing physics conception using Rasch and NVivo analysis. The 3D design (Define, Design, and Develop) is used in this research. The instrument consists of a validity sheet (for 3 experts) and open-ended questions (with Aesthetic and Usability Indicators for 12 Males and 8 Females physics teachers in Central Java). The Rasch was used to analyse the SoRT validation, while the NVivo to analyse teacher answers. The results of the Rasch analysis show that the SoRT is valid with improvements. Temporarily, NVivo's results show on aesthetic indicators, 70% of teachers' answers are positive, 45% are neutral, and 20% are negative. For usability indicators, 90% are positive, 5% are neutral, and 5% are negative. Thus, the preliminary development of SoRT is ready to be implemented for students in changing the conception of physics. © 2023 Author(s).
