The magnetic material of cobalt ferrite CoFe2O4 has been synthesized by hydrothermal method with various synthesis temperatures and pH parameters with NaOH concentration. Cobalt Ferrite can be formed from the synthesis of Ferrite Nitrate [Fe(NO3)3.9H2O] and Cobalt Nitrate [Co(NO3)2.6H2O]. The structural characteristics and particle size were determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Rietveld refinement analysis of the XRD pattern using the GSAS method. The result of characterized Fe(NO3)3.9H2O shows that on 80°C heating process, that sample was reduced and changed into FeO (website) with 0.132 and 0.193 nm grain size. The crystallite sizes of CoFe2O4 synthesized using 180°C show 18.962 nm and 19.868 nm particle size. The lattice parameters of CoFe2O4 have been identified by the Rietveld method and the lattice parameter of CoFe2O4 in range a = 8,3802 - 8,3809 Å, while the lattice parameter of CoFe2O4 by powder metallurgy method in range a = 8.3913 - 8.3918 Å. © 2023 Author(s).
