The study tests the relationship between critical thinking skills, communication skills, and scientific workabilities through the Structural Equation Modeling approach. This article discusses implementing Project-Based Learning models by Applying Laboratory Quality Procedures (PBL-ALQP). Testing the correlation between variables in the PBL-ALQP model involved 65 chemistry study program students. Data collection was carried out through a concept mastery test and authentic assessment involving ten observers. Correlations between variables were tested using AMOS software. Instrumentation analysis skills have a significant direct effect on critical thinking skills. Communication skills have a significant direct effect on critical thinking skills and scientific workabilities. Critical thinking skills have a significant direct effect on scientific workabilities. To improve the competence of chemistry graduates through the project-based chemical analysis instrumentation experiment can be done by focusing on strengthening instrumentation analysis skills and communication skills to increase critical thinking skills and scientific workabilities. © 2023 Author(s).
