Review of the sciencepreneurship approach in science learning

Abstract

Entrepreneurial character is not only needed in the business world. The world of work requires graduates who are innovative and able to make changes according to the demands of the times. The review of articles on the sciencepreneurship approach has been carried out using identification, selection, eligibility, and exclusion techniques. Search sources via Google Scholar, DOAJ, ERIC, Science direct with unlimited period. There were 21 articles found. The results show that entrepreneurs are often considered to be ready to do new things, and entrepreneurs are considered to be able to realize new opportunities. Entrepreneurship education may not necessarily result in direct entrepreneurial activity, such as starting a new business, but it may enhance student employability for existing organizations. Further review needs to be done to see the patterns and characteristics of the use of the sciencepreneurship approach in science learning. For this reason, 21 articles were selected again until the appropriate ones were found, namely 17 articles. The results of a further review show that Sciencepreneurship is an approach based on natural science and entrepreneurship. Learning activities are carried out by introducing the basics of making simple products that have business opportunities. Students are introduced to processes that involve local wisdom and are related to science learning. sciencepreneurship denotes an entrepreneurial science-based learning approach that refers to an individual's ability to turn ideas into action. This includes creativity, innovation and the ability to plan and manage projects to achieve initial goals. © 2023 Author(s).
