Drug abuse was becoming a health and social problem around the world, including Indonesia. Some mathematicians have been working on mathematical model of drug abuse spreading. In this paper we will add a death rate by addiction on mathematical model that already established. On previous model, the death rate was only the natural death rate. By the fact we know that some drug user has been death because their addiction. After modifying the model, we do some analysis to find the equilibrium points and also find the basic reproduction number using Next Generating Matrix (NGM). Then we verify the local stability of the equilibria and do some simulation to give the illustration. The result showed that the death rate caused by addiction influence the dynamic of every compartment. © 2023 Author(s).
