The bearing capacity of the pile foundation is influenced by soil parameters, namely the internal friction angel (φ) and cohesion (c). In this study, a laboratory-scale experiment is conducted to determine the behavior and changes of friction resistance piles in clay soils stabilized with lime and fly ash. Soil samples are taken following 4 scenarios which are soil, and mixtures of 5% lime and 5% fly ash, 5% lime with 10% fly ash, and 5% lime with 15% fly ash. Soil samples will be soaked for one day, and they will be dried at room temperature for 1, 7, and 28 days. The addition of lime and fly ash causes a decrease of soil plasticity. This is because lime and fly ash cause pozzolan reactions that change clay soil material. The highest friction resistance value occurred at drying for 7 days for all scenarios. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
