This research aims to analyze the geometric thinking level of deaf junior school students based on van Hiele during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The subjects of this research were five junior high school students from a special private school. The method used in this research is qualitative. Data were collected using geometric thinking tests based on van Hiele, interviews, and documents analysis. First, students complete a geometric thinking test based on van Hiele. Then, the researcher interviewed each student to explore students' geometric thinking. Researchers then interviewed the teachers, and finally, researchers analyzed documents from teachers in the form of distance learning reports and home visit reports. The results showed that there were students whose geometric thinking level based on van Hiele was at pre-level 0. These students were able to determine examples and not examples of geometric drawings. However, they have not determined the shape's name based on the shape they see. The student has difficulty naming the shape when the shape is rotated a few degrees to the right or the left. Then, students at level 0 can determine the names of shapes based on the shapes they see and determine examples and not examples of geometric shapes. Meanwhile, students who are at level 1 can determine a geometric shape based on the properties and attributes of its components and compare different geometric shapes based on their properties. Based on the research results obtained, researchers can suggest that teachers use learning media during home visits and give various types assignments. Then, teachers, parents, schools, and students should establish good communication to facilitate distance learning of mathematics, and lastly, parents' attention is important for students during online learning at home. © 2022 Author(s).
