Analysis of silent students mathematical communication based on mathematics anxiety

Abstract

This study aims for silent mathematical communication in learning from students knowing mathematics. This study focuses on quiet students who participate in class discussions at certain times. This type of research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques in this study used mathematical communication tests, questionnaires, and interview guidelines. The validity of this study uses source triangulation. Based on the results of the study, the facts obtained are that quiet students with high learning anxiety seem confused in explaining their answers, while quiet students with simple and coherent mathematics explain their answers according to her way. © 2022 Author(s).
