Abstract

Risk Assessment to assess the potential risk of subsea power cable diameter 120 mm with a capacity of 70 kVA and a length of about 1.6 km from the Sungai Juaro Palembang city – Sungai Kedukan Banyuasin district in South Sumatra province. A subsea power cable risk assessment case study using Det Norske Veritas-RP-F107 offshore pipeline standard. Potential Hazards risk sinking vessels, risk of dropped anchor, risk of a dragged anchor. The power cable has a length of 2 (two) 1900m lines without connection. This condition applies to 3 (three) acceptable variations of ship speed. Due to the ship’s sinking, the risk is at medium risk and is still in an acceptable area. The risk of the lower cable being dragged by the anchor with the windlass indicates that group A and B vessels are at very low risk, while groups C, D, E, and F are at medium risk. The results of the study and risk assessment of the subsea cable line in the Musi River, Palembang, the power cable must be buried as deep as 2 meters or more.
