Recently, the adoption of LTO batteries as a solution to store energy and other utilisations has been widely prominent among various industries; such as automotive and telecommunication. As the adoption rate is increasing, it will be necessary to test LTO batteries to understand the fast-charging duration of LTO batteries. This research was conducted by arranging five LTO batteries in a series circuit to generate a 12 V voltage. A PS-3005D Zhaoxin with 5 A of current and 30 V of voltage was used as the power supply. This power supply would then supply currents gradually from 1 A to 3 A to the batteries. At the end of the test, the PS-3005D Zhaoxin power supply with 3 A or 2 C magnitude of current was able to fast-charge the 18650 LTO batteries in seven minutes. This test result demonstrates that using Zhaoxin PS-3005D as the power supply can reduce the fast-charging duration. © 2019 IEEE.
