Abstract

This study aims to find out how much influence the standard camshaft with modified camshaft has on engine performance in the form of power and torque on the Honda GK5 engine. The methods used in this research are the experimental method and descriptive data analysis techniques. This research was carried out by comparing engine performance with a standard camshaft and a modified camshaft at 2500-7500 rpm. The data observed are power and torque. The results of this test are that the modified camshaft produces higher maximum power and torque than the standard camshaft. At lower revs, the standard camshaft is better but at medium to high revs, the modified camshaft is much better. © 2025 Author(s).
