Abstract

Language learning is an integral part of education around the world. Javanese language is one of the regional language learning that needs the use of interactive multimedia in its implementation. Javanese language subjects must teach aspects of language skills like other language subjects covering two aspects, namely, aspects of language skills and aspects of literary abilities. Writing activity is the application of the highest language skills after listening, speaking, and reading skills. This study examines how effective the use of the Rigen Cakra application as interactive multimedia is to improve students’ creative writing skills in writing cakepan tembang and geguritan. This research uses a development research model or research and development. The results of this study show that the Rigen Cakra application as interactive digital multimedia is used to improve creative writing skills of cakepan tembang and geguritan. © The Author(s) 2025.
